evening prayer (7/30/2017)

Father, we love You. Thank You for all those You have sent to teach us, to help us learn about and observe your commands, decrees and laws,  so that we, our children and our children after us may fear (honor and respect) You as long as we live and so that we may enjoy long life. Lord, You are one. May we strive to love You with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our strength. May the commandments that You give be continually on our hearts. Let us impress them on our children, talk about them when we sit at home and when we walk along the road, when we lie down and when we get up. May we tie them as symbols on our hands and bind them on our foreheads, write them on the door frames of our houses and on our gates so that we will not forget them. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
A prayer based on Deuteronomy 6 New International Version
