evening prayer (5/11/2017)

Thanks be to You, Christ Jesus our Lord, for giving us strength, considering us trustworthy, appointing us to your service. Even though some of us were once blasphemers and persecutors and violent man (women), You showed us mercy because we acted in ignorance and unbelief. Your grace, O Lord was poured out on us abundantly, along with your great faith and love. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason we were shown mercy so that in us, even in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
