morning prayer (12/17/2016)

Good morning Jesus. Lord, you have given us a free will to choose whom we will serve. We can serve ourselves, but we will end up disappointed and empty, enslaved by our own selfishness. We can serve others, which is good, but if done without you at the center we can become prideful; more concerned about pleasing man than God. We can serve the enemy of our souls, which will lead to utter destruction. Or……we can choose to serve you, and have abundant life,  joy unmeasured, peace that the world does not understand, wisdom from above,  forgiveness of all of our sins, grace and mercy abounding. Jesus, I choose you.
