evening prayer (11/3/2016)

Heavenly Father, tonight I want to pray for all those who are (or feel) “afar off,” for those who will be away from their loved ones and families during the upcoming holiday season, particularly those who have lost precious loved ones and friends to death this year. We remember especially the widows, widowers and orphans; those who are alone or feel lonely; and we pray foe r the prisoners. We pray too those who are separated from their spouses or have gone through a divorce. We lift up our troops and military personnel, police and firefighters who will be keeping the watch, members of the diplomatic corps, missionaries, doctors, nurse, and many others from all walks of life who, because of their jobs, will be separated from their families, and some in harm’s way, stationed at their respective duty stations around the world. Lord, please be with each one of them and their families. In Jesus‘ Name. Amen.
