evening prayer (10/27/2016)

Dear Lord, You have sent Your servants to warn us with many words and to plead with the people, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” Open our ears to hear… cause us to listen… may we be cut to our hearts… and accept their life-giving message. May our hearts and minds be assured of this TRUTH: that You, O God have made this Jesus, Who was crucified, both Lord and Christ. So, may we repent and be baptized, every one of us, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. And may we receive the gracious gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for us and for our children, and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call. We ask this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

From Acts 2:36-41 (NIV1984)
