evening prayer (8/25/2016)

You, O LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the Potter; we are all the work of your hand. But who are we, mere human beings, to talk back to You, O God? Who are we to say to the One who formed us, ‘Why did you make me like this?’ Do not be angry beyond measure, O LORD; do not remember our sins forever. Oh Lord, look on us, we pray, for we are all your people. Shape us, mold us, make us into vessels for Your noble purposes. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

From Isaiah 64:8-9 and Romans 9:20-21 (NIV)
