morning prayer (7/16/2016)

Good morning Jesus. Oh Lord, today we lift up the little children. They are so precious in you sight and so important to the work of your Kingdom. Your Word says that when they praise your name, it shuts the mouth of the enemy. You tell us to never turn them  away — that we must become like them to enter the Kingdom of God. Lord, teach us to believe in You as a child believes — without questioning. Show us how to be childlike in our faith. And Lord, help us to love them as you do – and to faithfully teach them your Word and your ways. Forgive us Lord, when we don ‘t. Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. Psalm 8:2
