morning prayer (3/29/2016)

Good morning Jesus. Oh Lord, thank you that you are near to us. We are only human, and our minds and spirits cannot comprehend your vastness. We mourn the loss of good friends and become overwhelmed with the many  needs that we see; but Lord, your mercy is everlasting. You long for us to cast all of our cares upon you in exchange for your easy yoke; for your burden that is light. So today, Lord– is a new day. As we pray for our dear friends who are facing loss,  pain, uncertainty, issues of life… us to take hold of your word. Fill us with joy that is from your Spirit; a joy that is not dependent on circumstances, but that comes from your heart – to ours. “Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10
