A wise man once told me that a plan is only as good as your willingness to change it.  I think he was right.

Sometimes in life things simply don’t work.  No matter the effort, no matter the justification, no matter the passion or drive – sometimes the plan simply needs to be changed.   We as human beings though, are stubborn and prideful.  We become the manifestations of our investments – be it money, labor, time or effort – we become the definition of what we have put in.  We embrace the life we build and self-identify with where we think we are going.  Often times we start out with a very good plan – but things change.  A good plan leading to good places becomes mired with twists and turns, obstacles and disappointments, hardship and perpetual failure.  The plan for success becomes an albatross.  It becomes the very reason things don’t work.

I don’t know why this is on my mind today – but it is.  If you are dealing with a plan that just doesn’t seem to work – let go of your pride – remember; a plan is only as good as your willingness to change it.   Hand it over to the Father in Heaven and allow Him to help.  He will give you a plan that works….. if you will let Him.

God bless you as you seek His will for your life.

About the gatekeepers son

My name is Morgan. It means "born of the sea." I guess it is fitting then that I grew up to join the amphibious warrior league - aka the Marines. Of all the things I know, there is one thing I know best - I now know that I know less now than I thought I knew back when.

As always, inspiring words, Morgan. Seems to me this is a subject you and I Have had quite a number of discussions about over time. The older I get, the more the world changes around us it becomes all too clear that our “plans” mean little but His plans mean the world.
